Summary

This course provided by the British Academy for Training and Development, focuses on controlled communications - a set of Non-Media Communication Techniques used in public relations. Participants will learn the basics of research, writing articles and speeches. By analyzing case studies, trainees will be able to acquire skills in conducting communications assessments to determine the effectiveness of existing Public Relations schemes and recommend improvements to programs. Participants will also learn how to plan and manage the production of public relations materials, cost estimation and budgeting.

This course focuses on how to develop public relations to become better business leaders, and take a more comprehensive approach that can be called "Reputation Management". The course will also focus on how to develop organizational, managerial and brand contacts so that a consistent value-based approach can be found that can be aligned with the brand strategy.

The British Academy for Training and Development is targeting the category of Communication Managers and Public Relations Officers, Senior Managers and Key Management personnel, as well as Operations Managers; and Project Managers.

Controlled Communications versus Unattended Communications.

  • Writing letters and announcements with a focus on developing English language skills.
  • Audit communications.
  • Explain basics of design, planning and printing of Public Relations printed material, web page content, presentations, reporting documents, and fundamentals of corporate identity taking into account the principles of continuity.
  • Production of Electronic and Printed materials, including media kits, newsletters, brochures, annual reports, presentation materials, and videos within organizations and for clients.
  • Introduction to GANTT charts, and Bert's project management charts.
  • Budget and estimate in the production process.
